In September 2021, Brightpearl, the leading Retail Operations System for retailers and wholesalers, acquired Inventory Planner. As part of this acquisition, Inventory Planner is managed as a separate division of Brightpearl, focusing on helping retailers predict demand and optimize inventory.
Today, Brightpearl announced that it is joining forces with Sage Intacct, after the financial software giant and parent company Sage Group PLC acquired Brightpearl. As part of this most recent acquisition, Brightpearl will act as Sage’s retail and e-commerce division, focusing on offering more innovative solutions for our customers.
Sage is a UK-based, multinational enterprise software company headquartered in Newcastle, England. Sage is the UK’s 2nd largest technology company and the world's third-largest supplier of ERP software. Sage has 6.1 million customers worldwide with offices in 24 countries.
Together with Brightpearl, Inventory Planner will continue to operate as a separate vertical of Sage, and the same team you deal with daily will remain in place, with additional hiring planned to scale the team and provide even more support.
As a separate division of Brightpearl, Inventory Planner will align with Brightpearl as the separate retail and e-commerce vertical of Sage. There is no change for Inventory Planner customers. It is business as usual. Brightpearl and Inventory Planner remain deeply committed to delivering on our product roadmaps and the current and future customer commitments. The transaction is expected to be completed in January 2022.
